ALASKA CONSUMER FIREWORKS

Specifically permitted

Roman candles, skyrockets, helicopter rockets, cylindrical and cone fountains, wheels, torches, dipped sticks, mines and shells, firecrackers with soft casings, and novelties (size limitations specified).

Specifically prohibited

All fireworks that are not defined as salable consumer fireworks.

Age to purchase

18 years of age

DISPLAY FIREWORKS

Display Permit

Apply to State Fire Marshal.

Insurance

Required. Minimum $1,000,000 for personal injury and death, minimum $500,000 for property damages.

Operator

State certification required. Pyrotechnics operator must take written test.

MANUFACTURE, STORAGE, TRANSPORTATION

International Fire Code Chapter 33 (2009 edition)

LICENSING

Annual wholesale and retail licenses required. Apply to State Fire Marshal. Annual wholesale license fee $50, retail $10 every two years.
